Think Full Blast"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_1524\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1524\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/coverdogsetters.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Full-Blast.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1524\" src=\"http:\/\/coverdogsetters.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Full-Blast-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/coverdogsetters.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Full-Blast-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/coverdogsetters.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Full-Blast-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/coverdogsetters.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Full-Blast.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1524\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em><strong>Full Blast<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><em><strong>Potential<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Having a young dog with the <em><strong>potential<\/strong> <\/em>to develop into a bird dog that can win at the top of the game.\u00a0 This is what most of us are seeking and it&#8217;s the reason we have &#8220;junior&#8221; stakes at field trials.\u00a0 Puppy and Derby stakes feature youngsters from a variety of matings and lineages.\u00a0 The placements in these stakes sort out which pup\/derbies have the desired traits to go on to win as all-age\/championships and which sires and dams are producing offspring with the <em><strong>potentia<\/strong><\/em>l to win in the best of company.<\/p>\n<p>Particularly the Grand National Grouse Club standards have been the goal of our breeding program and the dogs that we campaign.\u00a0 These standards emphasize hunting intelligence, bird finding, drive and desire, speed, running and pointing style and class.\u00a0 This is what we are aiming for.<\/p>\n<p>In the last weeks, again,\u00a0 youngsters sired by Grand National Grouse Champion Full Blast have been judged to have this sought after<em><strong> potential<\/strong><\/em> reflected in the Grand National Grouse Club standards.\u00a0 At the 2017 Grand National Grouse Puppy Classic, Full Blast sired Full Breeze, Asper Hill Pippi and Knob Mountain Mayhem were placed 1, 2, 3.\u00a0 Previously in the 2016 and 2015 Grand National Puppy Classics, Full Blast pups were 1st and 3rd and 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.\u00a0 Eight of the 12 pups placed at The Grand in the last three years were sired by Full Blast.\u00a0 No setter has ever come close to this record.<\/p>\n<p>And it doesn&#8217;t end there.\u00a0 In just the last couple weeks, other Full Blast offspring have scored in classic events throughout the various cover dog regions.\u00a0 Youngster, Game Winner, scored in the Jan Zabericki Puppy Classic. Diane Wheelock&#8217;s female, Angel&#8217;s Envy,\u00a0 won the Beaverton Derby Classic in a field of 26.
